Created and inspired by George a Husky/Sheltie/Mini Eskimo mix large dog. George has a long thick coat with a dense undercoat that would get extremely dirty with grit, mud and salt during the spring melt down. Being an extremely hyper dog we would go for long walks to keep him calm during the day. During those long walks, George would happily walk through every puddle along the way.
However, cleaning George quickly before work became a problem every morning. Especially since George does not like being groomed and so was dubbed the dirty dog.  Not finding a single product on the market to solve my problem, and with three dogs to walk in the morning, Mutt Chaps came to be. Since the first design in 2014 it has undergone five changes thanks to George who actually was patient when it came to putting the garment on and taking it off. It has saved a lot of time and laundry!
